Hi all, I thought I would share my experience with this store with you all so that you could avoid the pain I have had to go through.

Nothing against TJM products, but this store provides absolutely appalling service and incompetent fitters. I spend over $6000 with these guys and they were able to screw up, brake and damage every single thing they fitted. I ordered roof racks, a UHF radio and a dust seal kit for my ute. They drilled a hole through my brand new Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms without even considering if I wanted a hole drilled into it. No, I don’t want a hole drilled through my roof racks. Got home and found that one of the legs on the Pioneer platform had come loose and started rubbing on my utes roof. Antenna cable for the UHF radio had been damaged during install and I could see the internal wiring. They also didn’t install the spring washer when mounting the antenna, so this had already rattled loose. UHF head unit was held in place by a cable tie because fitting the mounting bracket was too difficult. The UHF cable was also squashed in between the head unit and the bar they cable tied it to, so this will surely rub through and damage the cable. Antenna folding bracket didn’t work because they couldn’t fit the bracket and the antenna properly. Aeroklas canopy dust seal kit installed by what must have been a blind bloke as the tub liner was cut all over the show and now has big gaps and sharp edges on it.
When I then challenge the store manager on this I got the run around for weeks, nobody calls me back, no interest in fixing what they broke, absolutely appalling service. Finally spoke to the owner and he promises to fix it all, cool. Nice enough bloke, had a good talk when I dropped the car of to get fixed. Pick the car up, they fixed the broken bits, but now they ripped of the bracket for the tub liner and drilled holes into the cross member when the owner said that they were not going to do this.

Seriously, take your money elsewhere. I have paid a lot to get quality products for my car, only to have them installed by incompetent people, damaging my car and these products in the process.

I had work done by them and it wasnt great. Put a long range tank in and they didnt adjust the fuel sender, result was running out of fuel with gauge showing 1/4 tank left. I took it back and they jammed the fuel breather pipe between the tank and the chassis, result was fuel splashing back over me when I went to fill it.
No apologies at any point just grumbling as if it was my fault.

Hi shallowal, you should post a review on google. It might move business from them to a few good 4wd stores in Newcastle like Load Rail and Out of Town 4wd.
I put a google review up and uploaded some photos and the owner contacted me within a few a hours telling me to take them down. Interesting how they give you the silent treatment when you call them or e-mail them, but they have to time to contact you as soon as your post something online.

I hope you left the review and the photos up. The truth is an absolute defense against libel, and I don't hesitate to leave bad reviews as well as good reviews.

Six years ago, I ordered a 250KG piece of shop equipment. I was contacted by the shipper to let me know my mattress had arrived and asked when I was available to receive it. At the time, I didn't have a truck or the means to pick it up myself, but since I didn't order a mattress and the warehouse was about 15KM away, I drove there to meet with the owner and inspect the cargo. The manifest was wrong and the shipment was the machine I had ordered. I took a few pictures of the crated machine, two with the manager standing next to it, and made arrangements to have it delivered the next day.

The next day, the delivery truck arrived and when I inspected the crate while it was still on the truck, it had two angry holes in the side that looked suspiciously like they could have been caused by forklift tines. The holes were not there yesterday, so the crate must have been damaged after I left. The crate was in bad shape, and as I peeked into each of the holes with my cell phone flashlight, I could see the machine inside didn't fare well either. Whatever caused the holes had also penetrated the part of the machine. I refused the shipment before the driver could unload it and he wasn't happy. I told him I wasn't signing for the shipment and I didn't care what he did with it, since it wasn't mine yet.

I contacted the vendor who I bought the machine from and sent copies of the before and after photos of the crate. I also told him to refund my total cost or send a replacement machine, but use a different shipping agent. He sent a new machine, using a different shipper, and all went well.

I left bad feedback for the shipper on Google, and invited the owner of the company to contact me. He did contact me, but threatened to sue me for slander (he didn't understand the difference between slander and libel) if I didn't take down the bad review. I suggested he have his attorney contact my attorney and they could discuss it. I never heard back from the owner and my review stayed up until the shipping company went out of business.
