So I have a DTC for the Restraint Control Module. It is U0253 - Lost communication with accessory protocol interface module. Is this anything to be concerned about? I cleared it but it came straight back.

I don't know if it is related but I have an aftermarket stereo and I have a couple of other DTC's related lost communication with radio.

APIM is the old radio.

One change in the RCM shod stop this error, but it really is not an issue and can be ignored. Only reason it is looking for the APIM is to call 000 incase of a crash where the airbag goes off.

No, ignore it. It is just looking for a canbus message that does not exist.
