Hi Guys I currently have an XLT and I love the climate air cond as my wife always has her side hotter then me its the main reason for spending more on the XLT.
So now I'm looking at a single cab 2013 XL Ranger to build in to a more comfortable tourer with a long alloy canopy to sleep in and they only make the single cab in the XL so is it possible to install the air con controls from the same year XLT? what would this involve I'm hoping its just all fit the heater box blend motors and plug into the Xl wiring harness.
I have searched for this on google and also asked on the ranger forum with no sucess

Yes I'm thinking it can be done but I've been wrong before, I've looked at the suer cab so many times but I just can't make it work for me.

I say goodluck with the project. Surely the cost and time would outway the benifet but each to their own.
The chance of the XL having the required wiring is pretty slim and also the modules/controller etc would all need to be relaced also.
It sounds like a painful and long project that I do wish you well on.

I was hoping for your input Stewart I will have to see if i can check some part numbers on the main wiring harness ect, I was intending to buy the same year model XLT most likely a stripped out wreck to get the complete dash and rear diff lock you know cab no doors motor box and have both cars side by side and start swapping bits out.
I could see my self keeping this car long term I have no interest in ever buying a new car again after the treatment I've received from ford.

Its plausible it may work if you are going to that extent. It may or may not require some asbuilt changes in the BCM but those are easy enough.
I cannot give a lot of input as I have never attempted to do it but it will be possible with time and the appropiate parts from the donar vehicle.
