SSM 45432 - Everest and Ranger Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP Sensor) noise.
Some Everest and Ranger vehicles fitted with an automatic transmission may experience a knocking or grinding sound coming from the transmission case/CrankshaftPosition (CKP) sensor area. Should a vehicle present with these symptoms, Technicians are advised to replace the CKP sensor with service Part No. BK21 6D315 AA. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section: 303-14A/B Electronic Engine Controls, Removal and Installation, Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Use labour operationcode 12000D from Section 10 of the SLTS manual and refer to this SSM when completing a claim.
