I think that is on PX3 but Stewart will confirm

I think you're correct. I have the oil life indicator and reset function on my IPC on my PX3. It was not initially visible or functional, but using ForScan I activated it - works quite well.

I have it on my SA built 2016 was standard. But you can also hold brake and accelerator pedal down, turn ignition on wait 30 secs and release pedals. That should reset service

Interesting. I haven't seen it active on any of the Rangers in South Africa - I think it depends on the market. It isn't even mentioned in the owners manual. The oil life indicator on the PX3 is reset through the Vehicle > Oil Life Reset.

That menu is the same as my 2016 euro px2. You can reset by that menu, or the normal way using the pedals. Both work.

Very good to know. On mine, if the brake pedal is pressed (irrespective of the accelerator pedal position), it will start the engine if the start button is pressed

I guess thats because its keyless ignition. On the pre 2019 that use a key, you use pedals but the menu is now used as no key.

Sure, with your ForScan updated to its most current iteration, you should have a selection in the IPC section -> non-AsBuilt for Oil Life monitor. Once you activate the function, it will probably show you have 0% life, just reset it on schedule with your oil change. You'll find it is quite accurate.Waynder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 2:54 amAny chance in what and where did u change to get it activated?vviglietti wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 7:41 pm I think you're correct. I have PX3 with push-button start. I was able to reset the "change engine oil soon" by first pressing the start button without my foot on the brake (i.e. don't start the engine) and then holding down both the brake and accelerator for (I think) about 30 secs. As I was only able to reset it once, the timing may not be exact but I'm sure I saw warning lights flash at around that time. Release brake and accelerator, turn car off, turn it back on and voilà, no more "change engine oil soon" warning.

I’ve activated this on my 2015 px2 and no matter how many times I “reset” it the oil life always reads 0% am I missing something or is it simply not a px2 compatible thing??vviglietti wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 4:07 pmSure, with your ForScan updated to its most current iteration, you should have a selection in the IPC section -> non-AsBuilt for Oil Life monitor. It is not supported on Thai built PX2 3.2 Rangers, PCM does not support it.
