is it possible to connect a AGM battery to the 12v socket in the tub (2018 FX4) and then connect an Engle fridge to the AGM battery without damaging any of the cars electrics?

The outlet in the tub has an output of about 8 amps so if your fridge draws less than that you should be okay

You could plug the fridge directly into the tub outlet

If you are considering going camping with the fridge running off the battery then using the tub socket to recharge the battery I am not sure that's a good idea as a discharged AGM battery requires a medium to high amperage to recover

You are better off running some fused heavy wires, 50/100 amp off the starter battery and into the tub using an Anderson plug.

I personally would not connect an AGM directly to that 12 volt socket, I believe it will end in tears.

Not a good idea, if you want to do that get yourself an Engel Box or ARK Box.
These allow you to charge the battery off the 12v socket while limiting the input so that you don't fry the wiring or anything that is controlling this outlet.

They are not cheap though.
