Is here a way to change how much the radio fades the volume when sensors are going off and sat nav giving directions.

Have you turned the volume up? If you are not aware, when the sat nav is speaking adjust the volume and this will make the sat nav as loud as you want.
Mine also has an adaptive volume function in settings, it is set to medium.
2016 XLT 4x4 Space cab, Aluminium Tray, Ford Steel Bull bar. Rear bumper bar fitted for parking sensors.

Have a problem with mine that it reduces in volume and then does not return to the set volume after the warning or message but it is intermittent.
Stock, rear canopy, rear drawers built by me, fuel filter, catch can, dual battery in tray with dc-dc charger, drop down fridge slide, tail gate central lock.
