Hi Guys I've got an error code in the IPC U0438:81-0A.On a 21.75 Wildtrak. Tried searching but can't seem to find anything. Just asking if anyone might have an idea on how to clear it. Thanks Mick

U0438 = Invalid Data Received From Trailer Brake Control Module (why do people think everyone knows what each code means?)
Given the type of error I would expect it to clear with a car power cycle (key off for 30sec). If it doesn't clear, unplug the Trailer module under the passenger seat and see what happens. If the trailer module is causing the fault then the error will always re-occur.

Might also be worthwhile doing a code scan with FORscan, as many generic readers have more limited reading ability.

thanks for the response, the car power cycle did nothing, it was with Forscan that i found I had an issue, i am using the reader from Saeb so don't think that is the issue. I'll try the brake controller.

sorry to ask but once the controller is removed should I cycle the power to the car?

Sorry, just realised I was thinking of the general trailer interface. USA (at least) has factory integrated brake controllers available, but not Oz that I know of.
I wonder if something has been enabled that shouldn't have and a module is erroneously looking for a Brake Controller? Maybe in the BCM, CCM or ABS modules?

It is because you have enable off road gauge.

It is a firmware bug and non relevant. Everything is working fine and you will not get rid of it unless you turn off off road gauge.

Ignore it.
