Ive used a $10 special off eBay identical to the ones currently listed and have posted the guide in this thread to help. It’s been installed for 2 years now and still going strong. It’s a very simple circuit. I don’t think you need to worry about reliability.

Hi Sjbrown,

I changed my mind and i thought id give it ago. so i pulled everything apart as per instructions on my XLT PX3 to have a quick look and this is what i found.

The A connector as per your instructions is the same but the yellow/green wire and the blue wire have changed location or maybe just colour.

The B connector is the same but there is no thick red wire, i only see a thick brown/yellow wire.

The C connector same style just different colour i also have a whole lot me wires and colour changes..

So we dont know which wire to use now. Im guessing the A connector at the mirror switch would be just wire colour change but B and C connectors on mine there would be a few changes considering the amount of extra wires.

thanks in advanced.

Some Workshop manuals are available free if you search,

or for a small fee you should be able to get genuine here,

Just change the one year to 72hr

Calm the farm everyone, not to take side but removing a couple of comments. Keep it to the point of the actual question, we are all free to do what and how we want to.

I do not have diagrams on hand for the area you are after for a PX3 but would have assumed the PX2 would have been the same.

With motor craft you may also needs to clear all cookies and change the country to United States. The 72 hour one is the way to go and it will give you a chance to pick up any other in you want.

Also keep in mind the wires from the colours you mentioned above are most likely only power feed wires.

This is where a test light will give you the answer. One is going to be for the central locking and one for constant power would be my guess. Chance of damaging anything with a test light on that plug is pretty much nil.

Thanks for that Stewart.

Was going to go through it all with a test light once i had some time. I might have some free time tomorrow to check it all with the test light..

Hey Guys,

Figured it all out on my PX3 with keyless entry, i have a got he module installed and working.

Even through the wiring has change from px2 to PX3, thanks to Stewart and SJbrown for the instructions they have provided in this thread.

I have also written up instructions for the module install on the PX3 and I have used a bit of SJBrowns instructions to be able to finish these instructions quicker. If thats ok with you SJBrown, if not please let me know and i will change it up.

Well done for taking the time and making the effort to help others.

Glad you got it sorted, sometimes the most enjoyment comes from doing the unknown and getting a positive outcome.

Enjoy your folding mirrors.

Thanks Stewart and Yes definitely enjoyed it..

I use to run a xr6 turbo forum a while back and no
Matter the mods I done to my xr6t, from intercooler Upgrades, turbos, diffs, take bumpers off and almost everything I done a write up to help others who enjoy working on their cars or to help them save a buck to two..

Never hurts to help someone out.. You are constantly helping everyone on this forum, so it’s good to help add at least something as small as this to the forum maybe one questions less for you to answer haha..

Thanks again for you help mate..

It's great there are options.
I decided on the Trac Electronics unit because I wanted Auto windows again (more than folding mirrors). The Trac unit exceeded expectations with the extra functions it includes and I still got folding mirrors which I still find cute when I lock the car.

Does anyone know if you can simply apply 12V to the correct pins in connector A to fold/unfold the mirrors?
