Hi All,
I've been reading about the long range tanks (after upgrading to a full van and watching the fuel gauge drop) and was wondering on which ones people recommend? I've got a 2016 (pre-DPF) Ranger and I was looking at the ARB Frontier tank, being a poly and light weight...but I've heard it has no baffles so the fuel can slosh around and it's noticeable? The other I was looking at was the Brown Davies (steel), but it's heavier and although it holds 150 it's only usable 140? Anyone had the BD poly version?
All remarks welcome, my mind is full of questions and no answers..

The ARB Frontier is by far the most popular choice.
I can't comment on the fuel sloshing, haven't had mine long enough.
People tend to stay away from the steel tanks now, not only because of weight but they are prone to leaking.
I don't know anyone with a BD polly tank.

I agree with Ross and also have an ARB poly tank fitted. I've certainly done some track work, including the Simpson and have never noticed any sloshing at all. Very happy with it.

OK sounding good. I've only heard form one guy that he removed it and replaced with a brown davies, but that was a you tube channel so maybe it's a sponsorship thing? Are the BD poly tanks new? anyone got one?

ARB poly. Been in for 4 years now and not an issue, meanwhile Fbook always brings up the posts on leaking BD from cracking.

ARB Frontier here and not a problem. Can't feel any sloshing around while driving or 4x4ing

Had a Brown Davis fitted, been in for 2 years. No problems at all. Plenty of outback travels with Ranger pulling caravan.
