Hi all from hot Brisbane.
I recently took delivery of my new Ranger Wildtrack and find that my FridgeMate 50l Fridge won't fit under the tub cover.

Apart from purchasing a lower fridge, is it possible to cut the bottom out of the liner easily or better to remove it completely.
I notice that the tailgate seal is part and parcel of the tub liner and would prefer not to lose the sealing.

How much extra depth is achieved from removing the liner.

Thanks for the forthcoming answers and cheers

If you were to cut it out, remove it from the vehicle first, unless you are sure you will not remove the body paint. You will still get water and condensation under there so could rust if the metal is exposed.

You could remove and if you want the parts at the back for the seal then cut those areas out and screw the side back in again, assuming it is the same as a Ranger anyway.

Don't have a measurement, I would guess at 20mm, but being they are so easy to remove, I would just pick an nice day and pull it out and physically make sure.

You say the fridge is to high but don't say by how much, hard cover soft cover? Personally I would open the tailgate and crawl in first with the top down and do a measurement. This will at least give you something to work on.

Thanks for your thoughts Stewart.
I will be take on board your suggestions when I get to doing it. Won't need the fridge until August but want to make sure it is doable before then. Might end up removing it and do a spray on protection instead.
Cheers

G'day Bazza, did you end up taking the tub liner out? I'm considering doing the same.
Cheers

Hi Jeff,
Yes managed to flick it without any trouble. Makes a bucket load of difference to the actual space. Have now installed a full length slide and twin batteries on the wheel arches. Slowly getting it to how i want.
Cheers
Bazza.

Yes Jeff, the MY20.25 comes standard with a remote electric roller. Appears to be very waterproof too. Will need to dustproof the tub now the liner is out.

Hey Bazza , New to the forum.
Looking at doing the same modification to the rear of my Ranger.
Did you have to remove the electric roller shutter to get the tub-liner out ?
Has it affected the sealing of it & Did you remove the whole liner or just cut the middle section

Cheers

Hi Bazzadlb and ProperFlash.
I have a wildtrak and want to do the same by removing the bed liner, does it expose the roller shutter drain tubes or anything is there any advice on items that need to be addressed after removal other than the dust seal?
