Will be going on the Spirit of Tasmania soon. They have requested that we turn off the alarm on our 2018 PX2 Ranger Wildtrak as it will be set of with the movement of the ship during travel. I know there is the option to have a reduced level for the alarm but so far am unable to turn it off. Is it possible? And those that have travelled on the Spirit what did you do about the alarm? Thanks for any help with this.

They're requested alarm off is a nonsense. Use the toggle on off alarm in the menu when you lock the car. It'll appear in the display screen.

When turning off I get Full guard or reduced guard. No off, or is reduced off?

I put mine on full gaurd, locked it and the wife and I swung off a side of the tray each and got a good rock up. No alarm went off.

On mine the alarm goes of on the Sorrento - Queenscliff ferry. This happened 4 times now. After watching the SOT go through the heads each day I have no doubt it would be activated. Image

I don't think there's a gyro sensor, but it does have ultrasonic sensors.
Leave the window open, lock the car, wait 2 mins and stick your hands in.

Vehicle has internal sensors and external. If car is jacked up alarm will sound. Full alarm is internal and external. Reduced alarm is interior sensors disabled so you can leave the kidlets or misso soup in the car and lock it without triggering the alarm. If the vehicle alarms whilst you're in your cabin you won't hear it!

Try disabling "Alarm Horn Sound" in BCM non asbuilt if you have Forscan, if you have it. Lock car with window down and open door and see what happens.

Again only if you have Forscan if the above does not work then I will post alarm transport mode change.

Thanks Stuart, yes I have forscan. I will give it a go when back home in Vic. Currently travelling around WA for a few months. Thanks for the info.
