Hi everyone,

Interested in other people's experience with regard to the displayed economy figures and fuel use in litres.
I reset my Trip 2 at every tank fill (full) and log the displayed economy and fuel used figures along with the actual litres put in and km's etc to calculate economy.

The displayed and actual/calculated values have always been within about 0.2km/l and fuel used max out by about 2l.
This is based on 4 years of ownership.

Since having the ecu remapped with boost increased the values are out by +/-0.6km/l and can be +/-5l out on fuel used.
With an intermediate remap where boost was left standard there was no difference. I think only torque limiter maps and some slight fuelling adjustments were made.

I have gotten the same results with two different remaps (with increased boost).

The latest tuner said he had noticed this difference happening after a remap but didn't know why.

Anyone else noticed a change in the displayed versus actual, calculated values after a remap?

To be honest it is not a concern to me, never has been
It's not a critical issue because I never let the tank get that low.

It's not that I let the tank go "that" low, I didn't say I was running the tank down to empty.
I very rarely have the low fuel light come on.
I'm interested with the accuracy of the displayed information and how it has changed after this kind of remap.

Want to figure out where the mismatch comes from in the code and possible reasons why it would go out.
Maybe other tuners do a better job of modifying the maps and associated parameters so that calculations don't go off.

Never noticed on any of my changes including everything you have listed.

Always within .00 to .05 unless I change my driving style half way through a tank.

What effect would changing the tank size have here?
It is correct in the IPC.
Also the Instrument cluster Cal option?
Engine size doesn't list my engine.

Won't make any difference. It is there but in a different position that won't be listed in Forscan.

I don't quite follow. You say it is there but not listed but that screen grab is from Forscan and listed on my PCM?
Is there another position/line it is coded in the as built that Forscan doesn't read and display?

The Instrument cluster Cal won't do anything either?

DTE is calculated with fuel tank level and km with a long term average (100km I think) that is held in the cluster) especially when larger tanks are used and the float has not moved for sometime.

In this case it does not matter what is changed in the PCM whether it be the wrong spot or the correct spot, it makes no difference.
