I`ve had 275/65/r18 on the10 speed biturbo for 12,000 k`s now, originals wre 265/60/ r18,; I wasn`t happy with the way the car was running, came here and used the tyre calculator and followed the instuctions- all good now - way better economy and trans is way better also.

Thanks so much for your efforts on this site

Hi all, I have a Next-Gen Everst Sport V6 with 275/65R18's.

True Circumference mm: 2559
Ford Corrected Circumference mm: 2475

Required BCM value at 726-12-01 is xxxx-09AB-xxxx

I updated this value under bcm asbuilt and did theTCM relearn but keep getting numerous error codes.

I reset this to default and cleared the error codes.

I tried changing the tyre circumference under bcm non asbuilt but got more error codes, the service message and a check 4x4 message.

I reset this to default and cleared the error codes.

I know 0977 is the max value on the 6 speed but read that I should use the value shown in the calculator for the 10 speed.

Am I missing something Stewart?

Hi guys,

My Ranger is currently remapped or tuned. Is it safe to relearn PCM?

No. Speedometer cannot be independently changed and the 4% is written in the firmware.

If you read the speed via the OBD port using a Scangauge or similar, you'll see the speed without the 4% factor. If your tyre size settings are correct then that should correspond with your GPS.

Hi Stewart,

Just confirming we only Make required changes in BCM asbuilt ?

My Required BCM value at 726-12-01 is --- xxxx-09DC-xxxx for the 285/70r/17 wheels and Tyres.

Do i need to change the original Tyre Circumference from 2340mm to 2610mm too?

I have a PX3 BiTurbo 10 Speed.

cheers

Pete

22.75 2ltr wildtrack
I changed my BCM value from 725-12-01-C100-4D50-4E20 to 726-12-01 to xxxx-09DC-xxxx for the 285/70r/17 wheels and Tyres.
Click write and it comes up with a check sum error
Ignition off and on
And retrained the TCM.
But the are DTC’s I can’t clear.
I tried three times, go back to standard and the codes clear.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

I also tried change the tyre circumference but it comes up with a transfer error alarm so back to standard

As per my note on the calculator "This is not applicable to NextGen"

22.75 would be a NextGen so......................................................
