ARB frontier tank install help, needed

Gday All, I am installing a frontier tank, the problem I have is that my float is sitting 5mm above the bench?
Not level as per instructions
So do I bend 12mm below bench?
Or 17mm below bench.
Factory tank was spot on for Dte /economy.
Thanks Brad

Maybe have a read of the installation manual here.

Yep I have read the instructions.
The float is supposed to be level with the bench, it is not. it is 5mm higher.
The question is.....
How far below bench should I bend it.
Simple question I thought.
Obviously you did not understand

Update.
Spoke to arb fitter.
His opinion was that the starting height of the float dose not matter,
And to bend it 15mm below bench top as per instructions.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.

Bending to other specs will change things. It directly affects the fuel gauge level. No it will not affect DTE.

I cannot rememeber the specs on the install sheet but basically I bent 2mm more than the recommendations, so 17mm, nearly 5 years ago whichs gives me approx 5 litres left at 0 DTE. ARBs recommendations from memory leaves about 20 litres left at DTE.

Why it is not curretly level will make no difference to what ARBs specs state. Yours was most likely just wrong from the start.

NOTE.
Float level will only affect feul gauge.
Float level has no impact on DTE.

Thanks Stewart for the info on not affecting DTE only gauge,
as the Dte is what I was concerned about.
I read your post and others regarding bending 2~3mm more, and that is what I have done.
So 17mm below bench.
I'll just monitor the gauge and if its too inaccurate I will drop tank and adjust arm again.
Hoping I won't have to.

Thanks again Brad
