Gents,
Firstly thank you for reading,

I purchased these headlights from OS, really liked the look of the Mustang Inspired DRL option, I have looked over, considered, tested, for some weeks now, buggered if i can get them to work as i imagine them too.

Forscan portion completed, confident in this arena, only outstanding concern is for the last in the BCM, what should i be using, Parkers? Fogs, dedicated DRL,s ?

Considering the real issue the wiring, as its difficult to tidy the last line of BCM up without being assured they are wired correctly.

Each headlight has the standard MX150 plug to match OEM, although only four Pins, 1 of these is active, Projector Led main Low Beam, (resistor contained in the headlight) High beam triggers the projector eyelid to open fully giving the impression of High Beam, No electrical adjustment to Projector up or down.

2 external resin filled boxes 1 for left and 1 for right headlight with an active and earth supply for the DRl portion of each head light, 1 of the boxes contains the indicator interruption for left and right headlight,DRL to orange flasher, assume this is to be tapped into the respective active indicator feed to each headlight.

I have read through the posts on this forum and many others, noted seab speaking of pins at BCM being the clue to what is required going forward, can anybody shed some more light on this?, which loom/plug point on the BCM do i need to look for, .I have spent some time staring at the OEM MX150 headlight connector, I know the 2 pins with active, still buggers me what and how the other earth pins provide the switching/short on the OEM and aftermarket headlight. Any help appreciated, $700 for the headlights and i have essentially done nothing with them under the guise i can sort it out . I coincide, i could do with some guidance, anybody want to help out? PS,, I have some DRL,s on the Grill which i assumed i could jump into supply for either headlight.

un-lit as way to bright to capture the detail of the DRL,s will try during the day soon. I like the look, really favor the white of the Led mains over the standard, not as long in throw but much easier on my aging eyes.

Looking good. Does low and high beam share the projector lens or am I missing something?

Stewart,
The projector housing effectively has a eye lid for lack of a better description, on trigger the eye lid lifts allowing full LED exposure, no dual filament quackery here,,lol... I must admit to being impressed, as my initial thought prior powering them up for the first time was one of grave concern given the $AU flung at the purchase. I have powered the led modules through the Fogs for the start, however this leaves a loop back on the indicators when the leds are not in use, given the actual modules are filled with an epoxy resin of some grade its difficult to ascertain what is locked inside, Installed some Schottys on both sides but buggered if i can find the loop back. I will now move to the park lights as a supply and use the original loom from the OEM headlights with some slight alterations, this will tidy the wiring up and just maybe resolve the loop back issue.

Maybe draw up a bit of a diagram, flick it through and see if we can work it out.

Cheers Stewart,
Yes they tend to be low, looking through that process now, i have removed the mini drives from OEM headlight adjusters and see some scope to lift the projectors on the aftermarkets, yet to determine (find the time) if the 7 stage adjustment can be utilized to any great degree, it may necessitate a strip down of both sets of headlights and mix components, but that,s another day. I will definitely send a sketch to see if you can assist in finding this loop back on indicators.

Do you mean flash high beam by pulling lever or high beam on as DRLs?

If you want DRL as high beam, yes it can be done. When you get your dongle flick me a PM or email and we will sort it out.

Please see your other post about the question, here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2198. Also can we leave this to one forum as these posts are everywhere and will get answered everywhere which is difficult to follow.
