I posted that I had an incident in a Bunnings car park where another driver had run into the front passenger door of my PX2 2017 Wildtrak and hastily departed.
I obtained an as-new XLS door, in Shadow Black, for the princely sum of $150 from a wrecker.
All I had to do was replace the chrome door handle and internat trim, or so I thought.
Okay for anyone about to carry out a similar change, the Wildtrak wiring loom has to stay as it is totally different from the XLS so the XLS loom had to be pulled out and replaced with the Wildtrak loom, the other thing I found out was that the door had (not so obviously ) come off a vehicle that had been inab accident, this was only made obvious when the air-bag warning light illuminated on my dash, the code wouldnt cancell and the only solution was to replace the XLS sensor with my OE Wildtrak one, it transpires that if one air-bag sensor is activated by an impact then in nanoseconds it also activates all the other impact sensors and ALL the airbags explode and all the sensors are kaput - they are a one use item.
It's all good now and the "new" door looks as if it was original, - $150 for the door, $149.55 for the "Wildtrak" decal and $14.25 for the flat black decal on the door frame.
