Parts number prefixes will differ depending on the year. Main part number is xxxx-XXXXXX-xx

Part number;
First xxxx is generally year and fixing. - So different case or mounting bracket etc.
Second XXXXXX is the part number.
Last xx is the revision of the unit.

Calibration is generally updatable and is what Ford do when they update a module.

Strategy is basically telling the module what is can and cannot give us in terms of functions etc.

I will update this description to be more human readable over the next few days.

Hi guys new to this so could use a hand. I have a scanguage 2 ( scan tool and preformance manager) off eBay to diagnose on the road any issues. Is this compatible to connect to a laptop to run forscan to adjust the fuel tank and alike. Cheers. ( eBay search scanguage 2 for $235)

Probably better asked in the General section , but pretty sure the answer is no. Scanguage is a self contained unit that does not facilitate connection to other devices. ( as far as I know )
To connect to Forscan on your PC you need either a compatible Bluetooth or WiFi dongle, or hard cabled dongle with USB connector.
Read through the forum particularly the posts by saeb, you will find out what is recommended.

Hi guys,
Regarding the cruise control radar sensor, i currently have part # EB3T-9G768-AE can i replace with EB3T-9G768-AF then run the cruise control calibration in forscan and all should be good? My current sensor has stopped communicating with error U0104.

Thanks in advance!

Should be fine. You will need to write the original asbuilt to the new module also unless it is out of the same vehicle.

Hi Stewart,
The part is not from the same vehicle. Is the asbuilt process fairly easy?

Yep straight forward. You will just load as-built from factory file, if you get stuck, install TeamViewer, give me 2 minutes to fix.

Hi team.
im looking to do exactly this, i think i have a dodgy sensor EB3T-9G768-AE.

I first moved the sensor to the right an inch and down an bit (put in a winch plate in the front) it started throwing an error "sensor blocked" then "Pre-Collision assist not available".

Months later...after some 4wding, maybe a rock got up there but its also got a bit of dent in it, the car is throwing up same error. Pre-Collision assist not available. i believe this was prior to the dent in sensor. if i remove the sensor, i get the same error anyway.

Iv located an -AF off ebay for $350 so im thinking of giving it a shot.

You will also need to change the asbuilt in this new unit. So save asbuilt from old module and write to new one as it contains your VIN or write factory asbuilt.

No and no one would not you have replaced it anyway. Possibly start a new thread in electrical or forscan area as you go. As-built will need to be change and CCM calibration will also need to be performed afterwards.
