Hi new to the Rangers, just purchased a 2015 wildtrack with 61000klm on it and noticed a couple of things. The air con sometimes blows hot air for like 5 min then it kicks in and works perfectly . The second thing is how hot the bonnet and front drivers side gaurd gets very hot after a short drive. Surely that’s not normal car drives great and temps are good. Cheers

Some models have an electric boost heater, PTC. It heats the cab until coolant temp gets up. It cuts out at 20c ambient or 70c coolant.
Hot mudguards likely radiator heat blown by fan.

Turbo is near the front driver's guard. Or don't park in the sun
