Ok i'm a novice when it comes to the sync2 to the sync3 hardware upgrade, Now most of the screens/apim that i see on the likes of e bay/ car breakers, forum sites..... ALL look very familiar to one an another, so, is it not just a case of say i buy a sync3 screen/apim module that has come off a Ford focus/Kuga/Mondeo. etc. etc. and would it not just be a case of using my own vehicle screen mounting brackets,a get the new gps & usb hub as well, Then getting a vin that supports my vehicle's configuration, or getting it re-programed to suit my vehicle's configuration ,Mine's being a ford ranger are few and far between of getting one without the ridiculase prices that they are asking for, so i'm thinking buy another model's sync3 hardware [ screen & apim ] do the support bracket swap-over, then either get reconfigured, or a vin number that suits....am i a mile off course here guys....Thanks...
Always look on the bright side of life..

There are different models but as long as the screen style is the same then the brackets can be swapped. Program it afterwards, programming is the least of yours issues.
