If any of you are curious as to why I've not been on the other Ford Ranger site -- my poor PC got me banned until mid April.

There was a question asked on how to wash Ranger paper air filters !! My reply to this was if you aren't able to afford to replace a $30 paper filter every 15,000 kilometres your shouldn't be driving around in a $50,000 4WD

This view was considered unacceptable, politically incorrect, and I've copped a 4 week ban from making any further comments.

Yes I was being serious. Do the basic math $30 / 15,000 = $0.002 per kilometre - that's 0.02 of a cent per kilometre replacement cost. Surely that's not much to pay out to regularly replace a filter in a very expensive and complex engine ? I certainly don't think so, if it is I guess I'm just a pedantic.
