I don't know what they do other than the beltminder status ones.

They will all be updated soon. Top one is menu for stop start in a manual. Most are for remote start menu which will probably be removed as I asked for it to be removed. Our firmware does not support the menu. The rest are seat belt chimes.

Most if not all will be renamed in the next release along with all the others I listed in the general section forscan post.

I personally wouldn't use them until the update comes out. Without getting technical they could turn something off you cannot see.

Has anyone ever looked into removing the "clutch depress to crank"?

Good point. In a previous life I was a 4WD trainer for the SA 4WD Association and one of the techniques for a hill stall/reverse start is to start the car while in reverse gear with clutch engaged. That is no longer possible the way it is set up at present. Without going in to the details, it is a lot safer when stalled half way up a steep sand dune or rocky track if you can leave the car 'hanging' on the motor rather than the brakes as you start the car to reverse back down.

It is monitored by the PCM. I can probably turn it off but not having a manual, have not tried. You could always add some switches/relays to trick the 2 clutches switches to think they are in the correct position for starting. There is a lower and upper switch on the clutch peddle.

I have an auto so not sure but I was led to believe that in low range the clutch depress to crank was disabled.

Yep, checked it out and that is indeed correct. Switching to 4L overrides the clutch lockout and the car CAN be started while in gear and the clutch engaged.

Good to know... thanks Steve. :)

It enables a menu in the setting where you can select normal driving or towing for remaining range calculations. Pretty useless in my case ;-)
This Enable DTE didn't work for me. "Incompatible Configuration" (2016 Everest Titanium)
It's a shame as I believe it would have been useful when we tow the camper, which is often....
I managed to get it activated, but don't know what it will change when I hook the trailer up...

It will just change the calculation method slightly ( Basically it will over compensate the DTE ). I don't believe it is trailer aware so should change it whether the trailer is on or off. Currently I just use the multi view fuel economy menu and don't change the DTE menu as the vehicle knows how much fuel it is putting through the injectors so it would be right anyway.

I've just installed a 140l fuel tank and changed the tank size in Forscan to suit (140l). However, I'm not sure what the DTE Sensitivity Menu, which is disabled, would do for me.

I haven't tried it... thought I'd get some clarification first to see if it's worthwhile?

Cheers

I wouldn't worry about it Gerry. I'm not sure on it's original use and on what particular vehicle it was designed for. I would say you're missing nothing but play if you want too.

Done.

Change BCM line 726-39-01

from 1194-xxxx-xxxx

to 0001-xxxx-xxxx

This will time out the 12 volt and 240 volt after 1 second.
Stewart, firstly I thank you for your efforts and have made a modest contribution to support. Can you please advise the mathematics/formula t5o change the time out to say 5 minutes. Thank you Roger

hi all,

im working on Everest Titanium, trying to have turn on the display for Tyre pressure. I already tried putting in the settings above but they are already in there so i did a search and found:

TPMS "Specified" Value Displayed (Placard pressure) IPC 720-04-01 xx*x xxxx xxxx

0=TBC Gain disabled & TPMS Specified Value disabled,
4=TBC Gain enabled & TPMS Specified Value disabled,
8=TBC Gain disabled & TPMS Specified Value enabled,
C=TBC Gain enabled & TPMS Specified Value enabled"

4 & C din't work for me. Kept giving me an error about my rear breaks or something.

Hope someone can enlighten me of I can make this happen.

TIA!

You are trying to enable something that does not exist in the firmware. The tyre display does not exist and can not be enabled, full stop. The only reference you will find on here is when I flashed older Mondeo firmware to the cluster which did show and support showing tyre pressures.

Basically, anything you find on the site will be compatible. Anything I have put into Forscan non asbuilt will be compatible and anything in the future I put into Forscan should be compatible. More will be put in future versions as time permits as it allows quick changes without anyone making changes that could cause problems.

Possibly a newbie error and apologies in advance if this has been covered but all my searches failed to find the answer.
Just did all the major tweaks on my 2015 Trend Everest (Sync2) and all went well but tried to do the same to a mates 2017 Everest Trend with Sync3 and have lost his maps!
We had just enabled "Ability to change address whilst in motion" in the APIM config page (Also noted "Navigation System" was disabled. Thought that was odd but left it untouched) This change resulted in us getting a Navigation System error once the change was written to APIM and car was power cycled. Further combination changes to the two settings didn't help but in the end we seemed to get the maps back (with Ability to change address set to Enable and Nav System Disabled) and although he was still unable to add an address during motion we left it as is and he has driven home but when he went to go out again he had lost his maps once again.
Anyone got any ideas please? I'm assuming the non as-built screen is Sync2 compatible only?? My only thought is to manually change all the APIM as-built figures back to the factory as-builts!

Sync 2 changes are not compatible with Sync 3 in most cases. Load your original backed up APIM asbuilt and do a hard reset on the Sync 3 then it will be back to how it was before.

Forscan have not changed the software to detect Sync 2 vs Sync 3. I will bring this up with them tonight. Anyway as above write back the original asbuilt. As Forscan have time they will add additional changes that I put forward for Sync 2 and Sync 3 as the systems do have different asbuilt data and should be detected separately in future.

The ability to change address will not work with Sync by the way and may only work in version 3 firmware or above although I seem to be able to enter an address anyway on my Sync 3.

I will advise when Forscan add the next feature set I have given but currently they have been implementing some other features that have been more of a priority.

Feel free to post here asking for specific asbuilt changes for those systems meanwhile and I will be happy to put them up.

Thanks Stewart,
Comparing the factory as built to what we have now It’s just APIM 7D0 02 01 was 4153 0104 C033 and is now 4353 0104 C035. The rest is the unchanged so I’ll change that back and do a hard reset.
Excuse my ignorance as I have the Sync2 but how do you do a hard reset on a Sync3 - is it in the settings menu or a combination of button presses? Thanks again.

It's in the settings menu, "Reset to Default" from memory. Sorry I'm not near my vehicle at present so can not remember the exact naming but you can't miss it.

Many Thanks Stewart. Re-wrote just APIM 7D0-02-01 back to factory, did a factory reset on Sync3 and still no maps but then re-wrote the complete APIM As-builts (as you suggested!) and recovered the maps! :D
I think I may have caused this at some point as Forscan tells you it has written successfully and to power cycle ignition but in the case of APIM changes you need to sit tight and wait for the Sync software to reboot first. It’s more obvious this is happening on a Sync2 as you get a progress bar where as the Sync3 just gives a blank screen for some time followed by the Ford logo as it reboots. Def need to take your time for this to occur before killing the accessories!
Just to stress to anyone reading this, the quick change page for the APIM is for Sync2 only and isn’t compatible for Sync3 at the moment.
If anyone can tell me the APIM as-built change required to enable Sat Nav input in motion on a Sync3 fitted Everest I’d be very greatful!
