After installing LED tail lights onto my 2015 Ranger i did a scan using Forscan and OBDLink MX. i notice is had errors for the indicator and brake lights.
i decided to disable the bulb out warning in the BCM, but when i loaded the module i am not seeing the values identified for bulb warning.
any advice?

BCM - Asbuilt

Try 726-27-02 xxxx-xxxx-x0xx

From memory that is the rear indicators. Let me know if the brake lights still error and I will look it up over the weekend.

I have not passed the non asbuilt values onto Forscan at this point in time.

Looks to me like the Canbus system is still based on the PX1 - BT50 CCC programming and not the current PX2 style, which means the changes I have posted will not work on your vehicle.

Can you share a pic of the configuration programming tab and one of the complete module list in the information area?

Confirmed your SA built Ranger still use the old PX1-BT50 CCC programming.

I will not re write what has all ready been written. Check the Forscan forum here where they have a how to with CCC http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1932

Anyone with a PX1 or BT50 can use this to change their default options with Forscan. Do not expect to make changes outside the scope of what the options are as it will not happen. But it is handy for changing tyres circumference (2145, 2330 & 2365).

In your case you could try changing the option for "Taillamps" and see what options are there. I see nothing else of relevance, else install resistors or pre made canbus modules to make the vehicle believe they are halogen.

Regarding bulb out warning disable. I changed my bulbs to LED. Both front indicator and all rear lamps.
However, when LED are used in tail indicator, dash is still hyperflashing, even when bulbs do flash normally. Front stopped hyperflashing, when bulb out was disabled.

Any ideas, or are resistors only way to go.

Thx, i see what was wrong now. My BCM was not saving/writing 726-27-02 value, while i had a DTC error on BCM. Left Front Positioning light short to ground. As soon as i cleared that fault, i was allowed to finally write rear bulb out to disabled.

Thx, sometimes you tried it many times and it is not working, my mistake i didnt verify that the value was actually written. Strange i was able to write the value for the front bulb out disabled with the same DTC present.

Just did the LED bulb change to my PX3 and the hyperflashing was driving me nuts.
But this works wonders. Thanks a million
