Hey guys,

So I’ve attempted to change the settings to enable in the options on forscan but it still locks me out when driving I also change the auto stop start and that worked a treat... is there something more that I’m missing??

Sync 2 or 3? I don't think it woks in the latest Sync 2 update and definitely does not work on Sync 3.

Sorry, it’s sync 2...

As I do not run Sync 2 anymore I cannot confirm but there has been the odd post stating it does not work on the latest update to Sync 2.

Why would you want to input while driving?

That would be dangerous.

True, but not for the navigator. Having said that though, I've now started talking to my car for navigation and making phone calls... you do getused to it.

I couldn't get the input while moving off the simple forscan to work thinking that it was something I was doing wrong I went into the ausbuilt and changed the code now it's all working and I can input address while driving

Interesting, what exactly did you change?

It was in one of these posts about getting the nav input while moving before forscan made a simple input I just changed a couple of numbers

It was Sync 2 and not Sync 3 Gerry.

Hey guys, i have same issue. Got sync 2 and changed the non asbuilt setting to allow me to input while driving but that didnt work.. which asbuilt section and what do i need to change to make it work while driving.

For Syn3 there is not over ride. It does not exist and is not an asbuilt or non as-built option (Same thing).


For Syn2

APIM as-built 7D0-02-01 5753 xxxx xxxx

I think the latest Sync2 update may have killed it also.

No guarantees that emerancy assist will work any longer as I never did crash the car to test it out.

Pretty normal.

Different json files for each country.

GBR line of interest is "drivingRestrictionsMarket": "Europe" where AUS is "drivingRestrictionsMarket": "North America"

Changing line in the AUS file from NA to EUR resolves the issue.

Anywho, this is why it does not work here but does there.

fair enough, just trying to help could those that have this problem over there not just change it to Europe or would the Maps fail?

I value your input mate!! There are ways and mean but not anything anyone would have access to unfortunately. Device needs to be backdoored at this point in time.

Just bringing up this oldish post. I have noticed on mine I can input navigation while driving I have Sync 3 and bought car second hand so someone has changed something
Is it now changeable in forscan?

It's probably just never been updated to V3. Mine used to be able to as well until I updated. If you want to be able to keep doing it... don't update it mate.

I'll have to check the version I have. I would have thought ford would have updated it

I've found Ford won't readily update anything unless you ask. You can update it yourself if you connect the car to wifi, but honestly, I'm not sure it's worth it. Apart from not being able to input while moving, the keyboard always now defaults to ABC instead of QWERTY - a real pain.

Well you saying that then it's been updated as first day I got the car I connected wifi to check and I was up to date. It's really strange I'll have to check it out

Did a scan for latest update and says I'm up to date. I'm so confused
