I have had a search but can't find anything that addresses the following. Feel free to reply with links if I missed something obvious.
1. I'd like to control or stop the parking lights coming on whenever a door is opened when ignition is fully off but key-fob might be in proximity (Start button vehicle)
and in the same vein...
2. I'd like to control or stop the car waking up (ECU powers up and whirry noises emanate from under bonnet) when a door is opened when ignition is fully off but key-fob might be in proximity (Start button vehicle)
Any ideas?

Found a new BCM item in current FORscan release (2.3.31) called "PCM Wake On Door Ajar". I disabled it and the under bonnet whirry noises appear to have stopped.
No luck with parking lights, so far.

Pretty sure silent mode stops the car lighting up when car is unlocked and doors open without key in

OK, all good.
I ENABLED Silent Mode Control Menu and Silent Mode control function in the BCM settings. This resulted in a new menu item under Settings on the dash to enable/disable the interior light and external parking lights.
Also note that I referred to a PCM setting in my previous post. It was in fact the BCM setting PCM Wake On Door Ajar. (edited previous post)
I'm now a happy camper, or at least will be if COVID19 ever lets me make it out of the driveway.

You didn't happen to measure what difference it makes to battery usage did you?
On my biturbo just opening the door costs about 30A until it settles down again after a couple of minutes, don't need many of those to use up a chunk of battery charge. I'll try the above and see if this helps. I've really no idea why it needs that much current just for opening a door, it's a problem when the kids are in and out of the vehicle all of the time while camping (or when stuck at home and not using it).

Sorry, no I haven't measured the difference in current draw. I had no idea that waking the car could result in that much power usage.
I know from other cars that when you open a door they prepare themselves for starting/driving by priming the fuel pump and perform a bunch of self tests on various modules.

Hi Ian,
Old post, I know, but recently looked into doing this and found an option in the BCM called "Fuel Prime on Door Ajar".
I've disabled that as well as the "PCM Wake On Door Ajar".
Hope reduces unnecessary power consumption further.

Yeah, I discovered that too, along the way. Thanks for adding it to this thread.

Hi.
For those who have disabled the "Fuel Prime on Door Ajar" and "PCM Wake On Door Ajar" has it caused any problems?
I am going outback camping for a few weeks and these options might help depleting battery levels every time the doors are opened.
Thanks
Chris.

My "PCM Wake..." option has been disabled for nearly two years now and "Fuel Prime..." for 2 weeks with no issues.

Thanks for posting about Silent mode, I did it today and its a gem. When ticked all I get is on door open is a cycle of the sync screen.CatHerder wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 6:02 pm OK, all good.

I could not find it in the BCM but a bit of google search led me to it in the IPC.
