G'day from WA.

I'm looking at upgrading my 2016 XLS factory stereo to something with a reverse camera, as i'm towing a trailer more often nowadays, and my passenger is as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle...

So far, my top 2 options are 1) Carbon car systems Kenwood 7" With Aerpro fascia / adaptor etc), and possibly the DigOptions unit (but i'm reading bad reviews on these atm).

What have you got / done / considered? What are my other options?

I've just brought 2 cameras from fleabay 1) mounts under the ford badge on the tailgate, and 2) mounts on the tailgate handle. I don't know which one is better (or if they compliment each other) but i'm willing to try them both...

What kind of stereo do you have now? Sync 1.1? If yes,you can use a camera with that little, color screen. I'm using it and happy with that...

I put a Pioneer unit in mine 2016 xls about 3 years ago so likley better units out now. But
Being able to run google maps with the satellite image is great when offroad. Android auto and apple car play able to run movie's ect is great.
