Resurfaced again after being a member of Ranger forums when I purchased my 3.2 6 speed auto Wildtrak in 2016. Performed a few mods back then to disable chimes and smart battery charging. Old computer died and lost touch with the mod forums. Back with renewed interest as my Ranger is now out of Lease/Warranty.
My Ranger is the last model prior to the introduction of the DPF's. It has only had two issues one being the leaky rear main seal replaced under warranty and the drivers seat leather tear issue also fixed under warranty.
I have had a Provent catch can and 2 micron final filter installed from new. Two inch lift, Arb underbody protection, ARB Summit bar with side bars/steps and winch. Pioneer tradie roof platform. Second yellow top under back passenger seat as well as a Redarc Lithium DC DC charger with 150 A/hr Lithium battery in the tub and solar panel mounted on the roof platform. Currently running 285/75/16 tyres on CSA 16 X 8 P45 rims.
We have been over the Simson desert twice now and plenty of adventures with the kids through NSW, VIC, SA and NT. With Family al grown up and in their own 4WD's now future trips will be well out of the peak holiday times.
Considered new Raptor but I enjoy the current Ranger and not scared to take it on adventures, scratches are now character marks. A long range tank is now on the list as well as enabling Dark mode to maintain some dignity when camping in company.
