Have read some good reviews on the fuel doctor. Grabbed a coupler litres today while its on special. Wondering if anyone has experience with this product? I have put it into 7 vehicles thus far both petrol and diesel. Am keen to here of others genuine real world experiences. Cheers.

Been using Chemtech Diesel Power for many years & never had any injector issues with any vehicle i have used it in. LC200 did over 600,000 klms
Never tried the brand you mention but i would say they are all very similar
The Ranger #3 injector/piston problem is not injector related but a design fault
Changing to better quality injectors will not solve the issue.

My dad used to sell a similar product called Fuel Set, which Fuel Doctor was created from. Pretty incredible stuff.

Yep I've used it, and it did quieten down my noisy injectors. Took a few tanks but it did get progressively better with each tank, still there a tiny bit, but much better than it was. Also it did reduce combustion noise noticeably as well.
Whether it cleans the fuel system well I'll report back after the next time I change the filter. I started using it pretty much straight after putting a new one in.
As for the better fuel economy - debatable, maybe a little bit, I'm a scientist by trade and and the improvements on some tanks are probably within the scope of experimental error. ie just the normal variation between different loads of diesel.
But I definitely recommend trying it on noisy injectors.

What's different about piston 3? Shouldn't they all be the same? Is there some issue with the oiling or cooling on 3?
It used to be piston 4 on the old Nissan 3 litre patrols that always seemed to hole.
