I have the 1225d in my ranger with agm and was also running 1240d in caravan with 200ah lithium.

Ranger charge set at 90% ? Gives me a Max v of about 14.2. After a long enough drive it will still eventually go to full variable charge so go down to 12v etc.

If you run with the headlights on it will only go down to 13.2v.

So I am running mine with no ignition on signal but must have the headlights on to stop it dropping out on low v input. I drive with headlights on anyway.

If you dont want to have headlights on then I would connect ignition on. I think Connecting to b+ will keep the charger connected to start battery longer than ignition on will.
