Where is the second OBD port located is often asked, so here it is.
I am not sure which models have it but I do know the 17/18 XLT models do.

If you remove the Fuse cover it is virtually inline with the Front white port, there is a green light on my OBDLink MX dongle.
You have to access it from behind the dash.

Thanks for the picture RossPat. I looked for a second OBD port on my left hand drive 2018 Wildtrak, but couldn't find it or anything resembling the white OBD port on the front in your picture. The only OBD port I can find is at the bottom of the fuse panel cover, and it is accessible without taking off the cover.

If there is a second OBD port on the 2018 Wildtrak, I would appreciate any help in locating it.

Maybe LHD vehicles don't have it.

Impossible for me to know but it is a little hard to see being black.

The Ford dealers here I asked about it said it doesn't exist on any model, there is one white front port only.

Ross, I don't think a lot of the service managers are all that familiar with the vehicles they deal with. If you could get to talk to the spanner guys I reckon it'd be a different story.

You could be right Gerry, next time I am at Stillwell's I will ask a couple.

Maybe it is not known simply because they would never use it to plug in their scanner.

Hi Mike,

Take a photo of the white port from about 1 foot away then take another with flash up above the accelerator pedal area.

Put them up here or email them through to me.

Here’s a picture I took yesterday of the fuse panel. I’ll take another today from the pedal.

As you can see, there is no white OBD port. The OBD port is behind the panel we’re the red circle is.

No, I think I know why.

Pretty sure you have another airbag down near you knees somewhere under the dash on euro models and there appears to be a different type of balance in that area.

Hello,
my Ranger has the left hand drive, it's a Wildtrck 2017. If I find the time I try to look for the second OBD port.
In any case, if there are two OBD port, do they work simultaneously or do I need to extract the second OBD port adapter to use the first OBD port?

They are the same, either port gives the same data.

Thancks.
What happens if you connect two dongles at the same time (one for each OBD port)? Do they both work or do you need to remove one?

Never tried that but I can't see why it wouldn't work, but why would you!

You could have an OBDLink MX Bluetooth dongle in each port.

You would need two Bluetooth devices with the OBDLink ap installed on each device.

This is all guess work, Stewart may have the solution.

Black obd is the gateway mode the interconnects the 4 different canbus system in the vehicle.

White front connector if exists and I believe it only will on Thai built models, is just patch off the gateway.

It just like using a Y connector, 1 obd male to 2 female.

In theory yes you can use them both at once. I have an Ultragauge in each port at the moment but you can get data clashes which can lead to bad data or worst case some temporary bells and whistles on the cluster.

When programming always remove devices from any other ports.

Hello,
there is not a particularly important reason to use both OBD ports at the same time.
Since a quality blutouth dongle is not very cheap (viewtopic.php?f=58&t=2352&sid=fce375853 ... 2860a66780), I hypothesized the possibility of putting a cheap blutouth dongle in the hidden port to be used for gauge, and when necessary, use the main port for programming using the USB dongle that I already have without unplag the blutouth dongle.
Anyway, after reading Stewart (thank you), I will leave the unhappy idea! :D

Just for info, I have a Scanguage plugged into the back port. I have never bothered to unplug it while using Forscan via the front port. But I did notice once that Ford unplugged it when they did a PCM update... I know because the slack buggers didn't plug it back in.
