Hi all
Attempting to fix a Tech Pack that got moved (installed a winch and relocated unit to a not so suitable location)
On running the C-CM "Calibrate Cruise Control Sensors" under "Service Functions" in ForScan Beta 2.3.34 i receive the expecting pop up message
"please drive you car on a road over 30mph/50kph...... this will take between 5-15 minute...... "
I press OKAY on this and start driving.
I immediately get a "service procedure has been interrupted" error message in the log. I assume the calibration has failed.
This could be due a faulty unit, which is a possibility.
My current issue is, i think my car is stuck in the calibration mode. The dash just reads "Front Sensor not Aligned" and will not go away when i drive.
This is all i can see now on my dash to the right of the speedometer.
Should i be using the "Module Reset" function, i did not risk using this.
Any Ideas to get my car out of this setting, it was broken previously. It would say adaptive cruise control not available. I could press OK and keep using the car fine.
Repairing might not be an option at this stage. I think ill be upgrading to a Tech Pack Compatible bull-bar and (if needed) sourcing a new undamaged Radar, once some money comes in. So im trying to figure out an solution for the mean time.
Thanks,

???, (why does no-one have a name?)
The service manual description refers to ensuring the radar is 'perfectly' vertical to the road with the aid of a spirit level as the first step. After that (with the engine running) the horizontal alignment needs to be +/-3deg for a successful CCM calibration.

Ben here.
It does say this i agree, and i spent about the better half of my day attempting to the get alignment right.
Just could not get it to accept the alignment. Since Im unable to get this correct, what my options are.
would be easier to deal with a message saying, radar not available, press okay.
I dont seem to be able to get away from the "Front sensor not aligned" screen.
Thanks

Module reset is basically a soft reset and does no harm. Unit is most likely stuck in cal mode and cannot be taken out of it with Forscan. You could try disconnecting battery and reconecting and seeing if it takes it out of service mode for now.

The car battery? or does the unit have its own battery, on a motherboard or something?
Thanks,

That would be the car battery. Disconnect and leave it for a few minutes. Some like to also just touch the disconnected cables together momentarily to drain any capacitance charge in the system.

So it is either faulty or is pointed to high or low so cannot do an electronic calibration. There is only so many degrees an electronic calibration can achieve so check manual alignment of the module first.
