Who thinks this would be any good?
Excluding $$ as different people value different things over $$ (eg weight)

I have one of there other Lithium 120amp/hr batteries in an Arkpak and it works very well.

My only concern here is heat in the engine bay. It states it have an operating temp of -20 to 80degC

Thoughts?

I am about to pull the trigger on a new battery so currently in the market.

Don't know a lot about Lithium but it certainly would exceed those temps under the bonnet.

The only thing I know about Lithium batteries is there maximum discharge is short, a few seconds on some.

Lead Acid can discharge at high Amps for longer times.

I have studied them a bit as my house is off grid so I use batteries for power. I just replaced them but went with lead acid again as I dont feel LI is there yet for house power. Heat is deemed to be a draw back for them and I live in the tropics so it was a consideration.

LI batteries can not be fully charged or fully discharged, either will kill them.

they need to have a Battery management system BMS, which will control its max and min charge.

Their big advantage is weight and that they work at Partial State of charge.

The quality of the battery is not only in the LI battery itself but in the BMS, which is a printed circuit board type deal.

The ones you listed have a 24m warranty, which is one way of determining how good something is.

I still struggle with the price and warranty V lead acid. I dont consider weight as a big issue.

If you get it please keep us informed. I would buy them if they will last long enough.

I'm temped and being the BMS supports a lot more current than any competitors I have ever seen makes me even more tempted.

I will wait till you buy one first

For myself I think it will be a while before I would put a LI in for a start battery but I would have no hesitation using them for auxiliary.

Agreed and is what I would be using it for. My AGM is due for replacement.

Researching today I have concluded that lithium is not for me.

The one in the link earlier is listed as IP55, which says it can still get some dust inside. As I live in the wet tropics and also travel on dusty roads I know it will end up with dust and moisture inside.

The same company had a 120AH which is what I was looking at for an Aux battery, it is just listed as not waterproof.

I will stay with and AGM for now.
