I fitted my Provent on Friday and what I expected to be an easy job turned into a rather awkward one.
If you get one of these kits bolt or hold the can on the bracket & check that your can sits straight on your car.
If not you will need to bend the bracket, you will see if it's square.
If it isn't bent square then it will sit on an angle with the bottom pointing in toward the motor making it hard to get the bottom hose on, plus the hose sits under pressure.
As you can see, there isn't a lot of room to get the lower hose on.

Sorry Pat, I didn't call you back. Apologise, I'm young but get side tracked and do forget things. Flick me a message next time.
I don't run a bottom hose but probably should. Mine sits a little different as I made the bracket and closed off the bottom hole. I use my compressor attachment to suck out the crud instead.
I also use the genuine hose cut into 2 sections at just the right point.
Anyway looks like you got it sorted, well done!

Is it possible to get a smoother idle with one of these fitted or is it my imagination.

I fitted mine late in the game and didn't notice any improvement in a smoother idle. A PCM flash at the dealer fixed that one.

If you think thats tight, try the Provent 150 !!!RossPat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:29 pm I fitted my Provent on Friday and what I expected to be an easy job turned into a rather awkward one.

The 150 was the unit that Provent advised me to have on my Puma 3.2 Auto along with their 30 micron pre-filter. The bracket supplied fits on the single bolt clamping the refrigerant hoses (Do NOT undo this nut -- if you do you will experience at least two out of three things, one, a loss of the refrigerant, two, a very loud bang as it escapes and thirdly, possibly the loss of your internals into your underwear !!)
The final result is that you have to almost fully disassemble the entire thing to A.) Replace periodically the pre-filter and B.) replace the Provent 150 filter. The other concern is that the fuel lines are very, very close to the two refrigerant lines, I would advise wrapping them with spiral electrical conduit.
I'll be looking to replace the 150 with a 200 ASAP.

Have my 200 sitting waiting to install after 3000km service, does this have to be removed prior to taking to Ford for servicing to avoid affecting warranty?

Hey guys, I fitted the hose on the bottom of the Provent before installing on bracket. Feed hose to bottom near front wheel so I can access the on/off tap.
