Hi all.
Booked my car in for its 15000km service 4 weeks ago.
I requested a courtesy car at time of booking.
I drop it off today.and they said "sorry no courtesy car"
They looked around and after 30mins i got a ford transit.
2 hrs later i get a call for the car being ready.
405 bucks later i drive out then i looked in the log book and it wasnt stamped so i went back and they stamped it.
When i got home 8 cracked the air filter lid and its still got bugs and leaves in it.checked the dipstuck and the oil is just on the dipstick.im pretty angry at this point.
I always wanted to have ford service stamps in the log book but i will go back to my old mechanic.stuff ford
Also they informed me the next 2 services will be just over $500

Don't expect the air filter to be open or looked at. Pretty sure it was even removed from the log book at some stage and change is only every 45k anyway.

Basically do no expect a dealer to do or look at something that is not in the service book.

If you have a mechanic you trust to go the extra mile then use them. At the end of the day all dealers and mechanics are not born equal so find the one that does the job you want then praise them.

Half the issues generally come back to the service manager as after all it is his job to make sure people are trained, to check the quality of their work and explian what is or is not acceptable and also to make the sure the log book has been stamped. So complaints are best directed at the dealer principal rather than the service manager.
