You may need this wp/product/drl-pin-kits/ and Forscan to sort it out.

DRL - Daytime Running Lights.
This is one of those Ford actuary oddities, the 2011.05MY incomplete wiring manual that I have shows that DRL's were included as part of the Ranger wiring harness way back then in 2011 ( page 417-04 ) but, - to the best of my knowledge, - DRL's were not fitted as standard until 2018/9 in the PX3 models of those years. ( Clarification needed ??)
I guess if you can find and download that page and then trace the wiring and obtain a pair of Ford daytime running lights assemblies then you should be able to easily fit and run them as logic dictates that they would be supplied power from the "run supply" from the ignition switch.

It depends on which lights you want to enable as your DRLs. I have a bullbar with separate, additional DRLs which required connection to the bcm using the pin kits available here from Stewart. It also needs enabling using Forscan, but work as per factory with options on the dash menus.

My Wildtrak is also an early 2017. What lights on yours were used as DRL ? There are two combined side and indicator lights on my ARB bullbar that I believer were relocated from the OE Ford Wildtrak plastic bumper and the side light is tiny double LED with a triple LED orange indicator.
I'm happy to get the system done / updated with Forscan but what lights does it activate ?

Ahh, okay, thanks for that Ross. I think I'll leave things as they are in that case. Up here in the Blue Mountains the fog lights are, while not essential, very handy on foggy mornings and besides in their "fog light" height above road level location it would be illegal to use them as DRL's .
In NSW DRL have to be in the same location as the low beams.
