If we have any software programmers on board they would be of some use. Yes I dabble and make things work but where I may have 1000 lines of code there probably should be 100.

So looking for someone with professional experience, someone that gets paid to do it. These will be short and sweet and will have small specific functions. Someone that is willing to give some of their spare time to make certain projects progress a little quicker.

Hey Stewart. I'm a software engineer. Have worked in C/C++ (consoles), Objetive-C/Swift, Java and Arduino (C variant), as well as a bunch of other uninteresting languages.

Love hardware programming, although my forte is game engineering and mobile development. Glad to help!

Hi, I am new here, interested if people tried making lane assistance software more sensitive. The current formula seems to be "unrefined", does not adjust for speed changes and appears to have an unsuitable side gradient for response. Any clues how to access that program?
Cheers,

Claudiu.

Sensitivity adjust through instrument cluster is your only option. Lane assist is dumb assist, it is just to advise the driver and not necessarily to keep the vehicle in the lane.

Thanks saeb. The system installed on ford ranger 2016 up pulls the car back into the line. however the output to steering wheel comes late. It must be a way to access the camera software and alter some of the settings. Ford came back with some promises for "lane centring" software after 2019, not sure if they will make it though.

As above, sensitivity adjust through instrument cluster is your only option. Lane assist is dumb assist, it is just to advise the driver and not necessarily to keep the vehicle in the lane.

There are no additional asbuilt options to adjust this. It is all set in the calibration file/firmware and this cannot be changed.
