Start OBDLink app & open Dashboard.
Hold finger on the Display you want to change.
Edit Display will open then select Display Configuration.
In Display Configuration you can select the amount of Decimal points.

I can get rid of the decimal but I have four numbers before it. What I'm wondering is can it show 2 numbers like 22% instead of 2280%

Hi all, I have a few questions regarding this. I've installed the ODB link and used the calculator in this thread for the PID's.
1. Alternator current does not work for me. It's a 3.2 manual and I have disabled the smart alternator in Forscan. The reading stays on 0.0 amps in ODBlink. Does anyone else have this problem and a possible solution?
2. Tyre temperature gives me some odd readings. The guage flicks between 40 degrees, 100 degrees and 45-46 degrees. I'm guessing that the 40 and 100 degree values are something else and the 45-46 is the actual tyre temp. Anyone know what's going on here?
3. Last, but not least, does the PX3 support engine oil temp, or is this not supported, similar to the PX1 and PX2?

Hi.
Did you try both Equations for Alternator Current Output?
A bit confused with #2, you start with pressure and then say temp.
I find the pressure to be accurate for each wheel, but the temp can alter a fair bit.
The PX3 doesn't support Oil Temp

1. only tried the first equation as the second just divides by an extra 10, so that would give me even a smaller number. Seeing that I already have 0.0, this wouldn't change anything.
2. yes my bad, thinking of too many gauges and things to measure. I meant temperature.

I've added the EGR open position and similar to rangerfordscott, I get a reading into the thousands. It appears that is is reading by a factor 100 to high. I think the calculation for ODB link should be A*40/100 instead of A*40/1. Anyone else have the same issue?

Hi Saeb, I read in the ultraguage thread to try changing D113 to 0551 for the alternator current output if the reading is 0Amps. If I change to 0551, do I need to change any of the equation?

Yes, use ((A*256)+B)/64

Thanks Stewart. With the above settings I get between 25 and 50 amps for alternator current. Highway driving and it sits at around 30 amps.

What do you think about my EGR open calculation? I now get a range of 20% to 50% open instead of 2000 to 5000%.

Would be A*100/255 for PX3

Press and hold on EGR Open %, then select Display Configuration then Number of Decimals and make the change there.

This is not the issue Ross, see my answer 2 posts above. PX3 uses different maths, I looked up the info earlier.

Hi. I have an MX+ and using the OBD Link app. Do these PIDs work for both the 2lt and the 3.2lt? Or are there variations? Apologies if that's a silly question but am still learning.

2.0 will be shown as 2.0 else they are probably shared.

I was experimenting with alternator and other electrical points using the Torque Pro android app (and I have the MX+ dongle).

I entered in both the 3.2 and 2.0 litre engine versions of the alternator output. I have the 3.2. Both guages displayed the same info, reacted in unison to load changes. So, not sure why there are two of them.

Rest of them appear to be shared.

Stewart has done a good job to create his calcuator/database.

Just an update - for ages now the alternator PID wasn't working correctly with my 3.2 Ranger. For example it might say, 23a and the battery would be taking in 30a (energy for nothing, chooks for free).

Today I saw that there were updates for the PID calculator. Checked them out, changed the PIDs for a couple of things. Now all seems to be fine. Alt output minus batt input (charge) leaves what appears to be enough amps to run the car's systems.
