Custom PID Calculator

Any changes, fixes or new data should be posted in the appropriate threads and it will be updated.

NB This can can be used in your browser on your mobile device and swiping left/right will allow you you view all details.

100% tested and working mgauges will go here. This will eventually fill with existing and never seen before gauges. As I get time to monitor the CAN BUS I will add more.

If there is a specific gauge you are looking for and if the vehicle supports it then start a new topic and make a request. Some things do not exist, like EOT for instance. If you monitor this you will only get what it provides and that is only on off ( oil pressure, no oil pressure ). *PX3 should support this now.

I spend an immense amount of time finding these and providing working solutions. Think twice about posting them all over the web and bring people to the site with a link instead. One it helps to build a community where answers to problems can be resolved and two it gives people an opportunity to make a small or large donation to keep the site up an running to share this information. Helping the site helps you enjoy your vehicle to its full potential.

Transmission temp works spot on in OBD link, but not in Torque.

Config is the same as preloaded in torque, but I get this....

Try and keep it to one thread please or stuff gets spread everywhere. I have responded to your post in the other thread.

Torque

Name: Tyre Temp
PID: 22280B
Min Value: 0
Max Value: 255
Header: 726
Equation: G-40

Works perfect for me.

Don't just read the math, look at the gauge. After the test mine can back as G=54 which is correct -40 and 12 degrees is what my gauge shows. Yes it's cold right about now.

Figures will be up and down due to reading one tyre at a time.

If you get nothing or weird temps go for a drive. The sensors turn off so you will only get the last known reading.

Same BCM, same sensors. There is no difference. Take screen shot of settings.

Why are you using Torque over ODBlink?

Are you using Red or Black dongle? I find Red dongle so inconsistent with Torque but with OBDlink it connects every time and everything just works.

Black dongle.

I found the opposite with OBD link failing to connect, stating passcode doesn't match, forcing me to unpair and pair again.
Strange, since OBD Link is made specifically for that dongle.

Torque on the other hand connects every time, plus I like the grid when setting up dashboards etc and I'm more familiar with Torque now.

Seems you have some weird things going on with your Torque install.

So my settings all look correct then?

I'm normally good with this stuff so I'm confused and frustrated right now.

Will pm you a zip file later with CSV file inside. I will include a couple of custom PIDS starting with Saeb. Import the custom list and see what happens.

Is there a custom pid for battery state of charge and current in/out?

Also, what is the difference between "Input voltage read by scan tool" and "control module voltage"?

One more question: what are the PID's "diesel aftertreatment status", "DPF regen status", and "DPF regen type" supposed to show?
They constantly show zeroes on a digital displays.

Where is this from? Battery voltage vs PCM or other module voltage.
