Hi Folks,
I'm looking at options to fit a light bar to the front of our 2018 PX2 Wildtrack. I don't want to fit a nudge bar or bullbar merely to mount a light bar.

I've come across the Stedi Lower grill light bar mounting bracket and matching Stedi St3k 21.5" slim LED light bar which comes with wiring harness for around $240 all up. I was wondering if anyone has installed these products and has any feed back. Have you had any issues with sensors etc? Quality of light etc? I've searched the forum and haven't come up with any answers. Thanks for your time. Much appreciated.

I haven’t got that particular model that you’re looking at but I have got two Stedi light bars on mine.
27” St4k & 41.5” curved roof bar.
Both are excellent.

I’ve got 4 mates that have various Stedi lights as well and in my opinion they are a top quality, high performing product for a very reasonable price.

The company itself are good to deal with as well.
Fast shipping and good before and after sales support.
I really can’t speak highly enough of the brand.

I've had that light bar/ bracket combination on my '17 Endeavour (Everest) for the last 10 months and I'm very happy with it for night driving on unlit highways.

The light bar / bracket fit perfectly and I have not had any issues in my limited running (~4K kms over moderately rough urban roads).

We don't get any of the active driver aids here, apart from the front parking sensors (which aren't impacted), so i can't comment on whether the light bar impedes them.

The Stedi install guide recommends removing the grill but I just dropped the front skid plate and installed it from below, super quick, even without a lift.

Stedi were good to deal with, they answered questions quickly over email.

I them ship it to the East Coast of the US and the shipping was reasonable (it ended up being ~$20 more expensive in total to ship to the US after the GST was removed) and quick (less than a week).

I ended up purchasing the Stedi 21.5" slim line light bar and lower grill mount. It may have just been me, but I found the instructions to install the mount and light bar next to useless. I eventually figured it out and it took about 45 minutes to install the mounts and bar. I found it much easier to remove the upper radiator cover and front bash plate to get in and bolt everything up. The bar just fits in the grill, but the drivers side of the bar sits very close to what I think is a ballast, which makes doing up the locking nut on this side impossible once it's installed. Prior to doing the final install, I pre tightened this side till firm, and fully tightened the passenger side once installed. The wiring harness that came in the kit looked good quality and everything needed was included.

As I hate doing the electrical side, I had it wired up by an auto sparky which cost $90. I took the car for a drive last night and aimed the lights where I wanted them. I was impressed with the quality and improvement in lighting. The wide angle is a little restricted due to being mounted inside the grill, but the forward lighting was great for a 21.5" bar. The bar has been on the car for a week, and there have been no issues with warning lights, sensors or adaptive cruise control etc. All in all, a cheap and effective way to add good lighting to the ute without the cost of a nudge bar or bullbar.
