Sorry Greg, thanks for the link but they no longer seem to ship to Australia. In fact I can't seem to find a single Amazon seller that does, including Stewart's original link.

OK, update... I have managed to order one through Amazon and although it stated that it would not deliver to Australia, somehow I managed to score it via "Amazon Export Sales LLC" for $49.19 delivered. Hopefully it all happens. :?

mine works good on new wheels, done Tyres and tested oblink app, they should of programmed it onto the sync3 screen wouldnt be hard for them

Two quick questions to the forum,

I've purchased the "training" module ready for when the new wheels are put on my Ranger - I'm going from the original 8" x 18" to 9" x 17" with a larger aspect ratio of 75%. The selected wheels, ROH "Beadlock" are TPMS compatible.
1.) Do I simply set up the four wheels on the Ranger and then go to the two (2) spares or do these have to be left until they are actually on the car?
2.) Am I going to experience alarms when, in the desert, I drop the tyre pressures from say 40 psi down to 15 psi ? Or will the TPMS recognise the new pressure of 15 psi on all four tyres as the "new normal" ?

Yes once your new wheels and tyres are on do a re-train, then you will need to re-train once you put any spares on the vehicle.

Once you drop you pressures, simply do a re-set via the dash settings. And again when you re-inflate them.

Or leave the dash light illuminated after dropping your pressures as it will remind you to re inflate. Sports suggestion is spot on though.

So further to Scubaroo's issues I have a similar problem, purchased the correct training tool and tried to retrain a set of FX4 rims I purchased that were taken off the vehicle from 2000kms after brand new, they apparently have the sensors still in (my next step will be to take a tyre off and double check) cant get it to retrain using forscan or the key method.

However as I still have my old tyres on hand and they were 30m away I though I would give it a go with them, sure enough it worked perfectly even from that distance.

So my next question is, how likely is it that later models (mine is a DEC 2015 XLT) came out with different TPMS senders on a different freq? and if so what can we figure out what trainer is required?

There are no difference to any of the Rangers/Everests. Parts numbers are the same for all PX2 UA years.

Well my next step is to get a tyre pulled off and see if the guy bullshitted me, I did ask if he ran new sensors on his new rims and he said he didn't know, maybe the tyre shop swapped them out and didn't tell him? Just tossing up if I buy a new set of sensors and just have them on hand to swap over, probably cost the same to get them to pull the sensors out of the original wheels. hmmm.

He would have known as he would have got a TPMS warning if they were not installed.

When I bought the additional sensors for my trailer they programmed straight in with out any issues. Take a look at your original wheels and see if the valve stems look the same as in your new wheels as that may give you the answer.

I had one missing for a while after one broke fitting new tyres. You can tell by pushing the valve stem sideways. No sensor means it bends a long way, but with sensor you'll feel a definite 'bump' as the sensor touches the rim and it won't bend any further. It was quite obvious on my ROH rims anyway so worth a try.

Tried the push test on both new and old rims, couldn't feel anything obvious enough to be conclusive, ordered some new sensors on Saturday, figured if I am going to pull the tyre off to look I may as well just do the lot and replace them all, I will program the sensors before fitting them to make sure all is good.

I think it will fail if done before hand. I'm 99.999999999999999% sure I tried that but they need air pressure to be initiated. Once they were fitted the balancing gave them a spin which was as good as driving plus they had air pressure and I was then able to enable them in the drive of the tyre shop.

Hi Stewart,

Thank you for providing this TPMS relearn info!, I hadn't even thought about needing this until I put the Ultragauge in the vehicle, got it to display separate wheel pressures and THEN getting the tyres replaced and wheels rotated after that process! Only then did the penny drop :roll:

Anyway, I ordered one off eBay from the US (link below) which took about 2.5 weeks to arrive, 1 minute to unpack and 2 minutes to complete the training! Bloody excellent :)

All you need is
- TPMS activation tool
- Replace sensor
- Relearn the sensor by FORScan or manual.
But I cannot found TPMS learn procedure in my Forscan, how to train sensors by manual?
My vehicle is new Ford Ranger 2.0L Bi-turbo 2018 (without TPMS from manufacture)

As per the first post. Try the manual method.

The procedure would not have been added for the 2019 and it is quicker to do it manually anyway.

I'm assuming you have added the wheel sensors and enabled them in the BCM?

Also please stop posting the same request in all different threads. Chance is I will not reply, keep the request to one appropriate thread or post a new one. I have deleted the additional posts.
