Hi all, I had noticed my drivers side blend motor “hunting” as I was driving my ranger and it was driving me nuts. All I could hear under the dash was like a pig grunting as the motor opened the flap and shut it again randomly. Someone told me that the contacts are dirty inside the unit and the motor cannot recognise how far open or closed the flap is. I pulled the unit out from behind the climate control and cleaned the contacts “sorry I didn’t take any photos” and once I put it all back together it seems to be working fine again. My only question is, will it last or should I order a new one just in case it fails in the near future. Any help would be greatly appreciated [emoji6]

Let's just wait and see.
Sometimes they over-greased the contacts at the factory causing poor contacts and haunting issue.
