Hi, first time poster, from Otago NZ.
Have a six speed manual ranger, brand new engine, turbo, radiator, water pump, injectors cleaned & tested….have an issue where the top radiator hose sucks flat when engine cools….has a brand new radiator cap. Have been running the cap slightly loose as I’m worried that if the cap is not venting when it cools is it venting when it gets hot & builds some coolant pressure. I have followed the manual to a tee & it still persist.

Hoping someone in here has experienced similar issue

Thanks in advanced

No idea but does it have a genuine radiator, cap and thermostat?

Genuine cap, not thermostats & radiator is thicker in the core

All I can say is it is not venting for what reason and still comes back to radiator cap and or how the cap is located in the radiator. Welcome to others thoughts but I would be taking it up with the aftermarket radiator supplier or replace it with a genuine unit.

Maybe try a coolant flush. There maybe some blockage somewhere in the system that is preventing it from equalising?

Also are all the pipes connected in the correct places so that the flow is going the way it is meant to go?
