Stumbled across a link to this forum off one of the ranger pages on Facebook. My name is Jarrad, and I own a 2012 PX XLT. This is the first "unmolested" car I've owned. Purchased off a mate at 80k, it's now got 109k on it and only had an injector failure whilst it was under warranty. I service it every 5000k, but can't help but feel a little uneasy about all the engine issues I've seen recently. Has anyone encountered any engine failures, and what was the actual causes? I've blanked my egr, and will be redoing the coolant hoses in the next two weeks before embarking on a 4000km round trip down to Bega, NSW. I'm a light and heavy vehicle mechanic by trade, so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty for some preventative maintenance!
