Hey all,

This has probably been brought up before, but am finding it difficult to find any information that can point me in the direction of getting my hands on a cheat sheet for the Module I.Ds when deciphering AS-BUIlT in Forscan? See example photo below(not just these ones but all of them!!).

Any information will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Plenty of ARB gear. Body Protection, Underhood gear, Rust Protection and there is more than a few nice to haves. But there is always something else that needs to go on it.

Hi Big G,

Do not decipher it. Run the latest version of Forscan and choose APIM option that does not have asbuilt next to it.

The assumption is that you have 2.3.19 and not 2.3.20 so please download the latest update.

Honestly, for me to write a cheat sheet will take days and days and days and more days but if you want everything the donation box is up the top, but allow a few days work to translate everything. Major changes have been put in Forscan.

If there is something specific just ask or have a search above. It maybe floating around.

Cheers for the reply Stewart, it’s all good.

I was more curious than anything to see if one had been created or there was a module I.D guide.

I’m not really looking for anything specific, was keen to have a look around and understand what is available. I understand that each module ID number is an address, whether it’s an input or an output or what it controls on the other hand had me stumped. I’m pretty reluctant to go snooping around in FORSCAN to much blindly, on my brand new vehicle, is all. Especially because the closest Ford dealership is 6hrs away, so if I do something the car doesn’t like, could be in a world of pain.

Appreciate the information and the work your doing.

Cheers,

Big G

Every module requires an address and this is what you are seeing. Before opening that asbuilt you will see a what the name is, in this example you have 7D0 which would have been shown as APIM.

This list may help you with what that names mean https://forscan.org/modules_list.html

As for the HEX values you see, 1 byte could change anywhere from 1 to 8 functions and with combinations of up to 255 changes so be careful with touch ing.

The reason I do not display a full asbuilt list here as 98% of functions do not apply to the everyday user and some could break the vehicle or I get 20 PMs a day with questions on it or I spend the other 3 hours of the night fixing what has been broken.

This is the reason for the non asbuilt options and I will keep pushing people that way, I'm hoping sooner or later that more additions will be added but I'm in the hands of the developers as to when my supplied information is implemented.

I hope that helps a little more.

That is helpful, again I appreciate the information. There are a few things I want change, but not sure if it is possible. I will have a bit of a look around and see what I come up with.
