Hi, just looking at getting a camper trailer and therefore need towing mirrors. I have 2017 Wildtrak, if I go for aftermarket mirrors with heat function, is it a simple job to wire them in or does it also involve some program changes? Also on the rangers that do have heated mirrors as standard, how are they turned on? Switch on console or do they come on with rear demister and therefore time out also.
Thanks in advance

Pretty sure demister as you mentioned.

Might not be so simple as the pins will not be populated on the vehicle side of the plug. Also heated mirrors had Bliss from memory (Everest Titanium) and had a larger plug with 2 additional pins than the Ranger.

I guess you really need more information from the mirror manufacturer to make a call.

Currently going though this myself. I thought that all the XLT's and up came with heated mirrors as standard so direct swap they should work out of the box on those models. If you factory ones are fitted with heated mirrors then aftermarket should work just the same and as said they come on with the rear demister.

I am having an issue where I am trying to add them to my XLS. Mainly for the fold function but the heater would be a bonus. All the pins are there wiring and the fuses however there is something in the system stopping them from activating not sure where to look now.
