Hi
I have questions relating to the addition of an AV input to sync 2. Has anyone tried
7do-01-01 xxxx-8xxx. This changes the “aux in” on the radio to “video in” and shows the video
Inputs on screen. I picked this up from the f150 forum.
If it does it should make pins 34 and 35 and 36 on the rear of the APIM video inputs.
You would still be limited by video in motion but this could eliminate that https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Lincoln-M ... 3321162581
I've tried the first part and it works the next job will be adding the video input wires to the apim. I've also seen on early sync2 a video selector switch
but as yet cannot find a wiring diagram.

Never really bothered digging into Sync2, swapped it out within 6 months to Sync3. All I can say is try the above and do a tutorial to share if it works.

Hi Stewart
Reason for doing this way I need a rear caravan camera and sync 3 is harder to get video in motion.
Do you have a part number for the APIM connector sockets having trouble obtaining
Thanks

Only thing I can offer is a sync 2 patch loom. Plug one end in Sync and one end in existing cable. You would then cut the required wires in the patch loom and fit the required RCA plugs.
