Led Globes

I have read many times that LED globes are illegal.
A relative had an accident on 17/6 and has just been informed he is not getting insurance.
Even though the accident happened during the day and had nothing to do with lights, LED globes make the vehicle illegal by the law.

I assume you are referring to the headlights and then only on vehicles that did not come standard with LED headlights. That is retrofitted LED headlights.

From all the opinions I've read, I think that decision would be contestable in court.
Also, Are you sure it's LED globes and not HID globes?.

LED, I think some later model Rangers have HID.
