Can anyone that has monitored exhaust manifold outlet temp in the past give me an indication of what temps I'm looking for?
After spending 10 minutes I already have 10 new pids that are undocumented and it will make it a little easier to find EGT temp.
Possibility that I have found the pre turbo EGT anyway. slowly rising while idling 450 degree and start to go down when engine stopped.

Seems as though it may just be a different PID for engine coolant temp. Will keep and eye on it as it may be the same temp sensor or a different one. I had a feeling there were 2 on these engines.

Test and confirmed. It was just an undocumented PID for coolant.
So there are 2 PIDS for engine coolant in the PCM.

Hello Stewart,
On my MY17 I am seeing anything from ambient temp on start up right up to 600 degrees during a long uphill run. Idle normally sits at 150-200 degrees
I can see pre and post cat temps on the MY17 using the OBDLink app and MX Link dongle

I assume you mean Pre/Post DPF?
Are you using the Post DPF PID I put up here?

I am using the SAE PID in the OBDLink app "Exhaust gas temp bank 1, sensor 1"
I assume this would be pre-DPF/post turbo. I have been also getting different readings using "Catalyst temp (Bank 1 Sensor 1)" and "Catalyst temp (Bank 1 Sensor 1)"
I will see if I can get a log for you on the drive to Melb tomorrow morning

I will PM you a PID post DPF. See how this compares to your other reading as we know its spot on.
I will look further into SAE PID and see what happens.
