Hi All,

I'm hoping to be able to get the mirrors to fold in once the doors are locked.
I'd also love to be able to get the doors to automatically lock once the vehicle is traveling more than 10km/h or so.

Is this going to be possible?

Just seems strange that the locking was on last years Everest.

Thanks in advance.

Auto locking is above 20kph from memory, you are saying it does not do this anymore? Nothing in the cluster vehicle locking menu?

Rangers and Everest's have never had factory closing mirrors. On Rangers there is no door module and on Everest's the mirrors are not wired to the door module. This requires 3rd party modules to achieve what you want.

Thanks for your reply.

Auto Locking - I knew that there was a speed that you had to go over, just like in the terrotries etc. But sadly, the feature is missing in the cluster menu. It's really quite dissapointing.

Any ideas please?

Why have Auto Unlock if there is no Auto lock?

This is a good safety feature for night driving.

Maybe the feature is still there in another menu.

The unlock refers to the unlocking of all doors when you pull the door handle from the inside after a drive.

I've looked everywhere, can't find it.
I'd love someone to prove me wrong.

PM me your VIN and I will give you some changes to try.

The option may or may not have been removed from the PX3 firmware due to incompatibly options with auto unlock and the smart key. It also may or may not still exist in the new IPC firmware.

Try changing

IPC asbuilt

720-01-01 to xxxF-xxxx-xxxx

I sent it off but never got a response on if it worked or not.

Is Forscan showing non asbuilt options for the PX3?

Thought that would be the case.

Auto Lock

Change;

BCM
726-15-01 to x1x1-x1x1-x1xx
726-21-01 to xxx1-xxxx-xxxx

and

IPC
720-01-01 to xxxF-xxxx-xxxx

Do an ignition cycle and it should be able to be changed.

They are the only changes that apply to auto lock. So I believe it may not be in the actual firmware. The BCM changes I gave to change all those option to the same as any pre Smart key Ranger.

Being probably my not in firmware, I would say this is why it's not enabled in the cluster.

I took the Territory to the dealer on Wednesday and asked about Auto lock on the Px3.

He said it is not available on this model.

Deleted something useful and gave it something totally useless, in my opinion anyway.

Park Assist would be useful if you take a Ranger into the city I guess, but I haven't had to parallel park in 50 years, plenty of car parks now.

No, it should be the same but I need logs from a PX3 to see what non-asbuilt is being displayed and if it even works.

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2246 and else regarding people supply logs but none yet.

Auto Lock

Change;

BCM
726-15-01 to x1x1-x1x1-x1xx
726-21-01 to xxx1-xxxx-xxxx

and

IPC
720-01-01 to xxxF-xxxx-xxxx

Do an ignition cycle and it should be able to be changed.

Tested and working MY19 with passive key.

Thanks to Drew for testing.
If you don’t mind, to clarify “passive key” is a car that doesn’t have keyless entry? I was hoping to find a way to enable the auto door lock on a my19 Everest trend bi-turbo.

Passive key is what your vehicle has.

Quick google returned as per below, quicker than writing it.

Passive keyless entry (PKE) is an automotive security system that operates automatically when the user is in proximity to the vehicle, unlocking the door on approach or when the door handle is pulled and locking it when the user walks away or touches the car on exit. PKE systems are also used to secure buildings or areas of buildings.

The above changes will work on your vehicle.

Auto door locking is brilliant. Enabled and working 100% on My19 XLT 2.0l bi-turbo.

So are we saying that the Ranger Wildltrak PX3 is not capable of coding to do the Auto Lock as it has removed it from the actual firmware?
