Like my cruise control but hate the adaptive side of it. Plowing along the freeway and vehicle automatically slowing down , accelerating then nearly running up the back of the vehicle in front at 70k's an hour
This thing is so unreliable and frightening as to to be plain dangerous
Questions, am i the only one who this is happening too and can i go into the forscan and correct it

Never had it happen and you are the first I have heard of with a problem.
Maybe go into the menu and select the normal cruise control instead.
I would certainly speak to the dealer about it.

No problems here either, in fact I love the adaptive side of it. Certainly makes for easier cruising on the freeways when in a line of traffic. I have mine set to the largest gap usually which gives me plenty of time to react if the traffic slows suddenly.

Do you have an aftermarket bullbar fitted? If so, the installer may have misaligned the radar.

After my bull bar was fitted, the adaptive cruise, when it worked, was jerky and unreliable, you really had to be up someone’s arse for it to react smoothly. When it didn’t work, I’d have a blocked radar error. Bull bar fitters tweaked the radar alignment now it works smooth and beautifully.

Love my adaptive cruise, the radars always worked well. I have a Uneek crawler bar on the front.

I believe there are some bullbars not approved for radar installs.
Mine is aluminium and works fine.
The Adaptive Cruise in one of the better features of the Ranger.

No AFN bull bar yet due to 6 week wait for it to arrive from Portugal, car has not done 3000 k's yet
Have sat in the car with my son eulogizing the great benefits of modern cars only having to jamb my foot on the brake to stop myself from running up some ones arse, will mention it at first service, but am glad others are having good experiences

Pretty sure you can also adjust the sensitivity of the adaptive cruise control in the menu.
I have a TJM alloy bullbar and works fine.

I would run a calibration on the CCM which is an option in Forscan now.allover wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:36 pm Like my cruise control but hate the adaptive side of it.
